| Trek Day 4, Pehue Camp to Torres Camp. | ||||
|
Day 4 saw a transfer to a new camp. Confession, I crawled out of my tent hardly able to walk, oh did I ache! I was not alone, the Doc (Rod) was holding his breakfast surgery, he had already ran out of knee supports and compression bandages! People fell into three groups, fit to walk, fit to walk with pain killers and those taking the boat. Those that took the boat did so very reluctantly, one I could mention was close to tears. It was a very long and grueling walk, I was firmly at the back with team "Ibuprofen" and it took us well over 10 hours alongside the spectacular Nordenskjorld Lake with the Condors for company flying in formation alongside us at times. The longest day?
